Wicked Lovely - Bk. 1
Wicked Lovely
by Melissa Marr
Aislinn has always lived by three very speciffic rules taught by her grandmother all her life:
Rule 3: Never stare at invisible faeries.
Rule 2: Never speak to invisible faeries
Rule 1: Don't ever attract their attention
Unfortunately, it appears she has all of a sudden broken the last rule. Keenan, a powerful faery, is pretending to be human, and paying way too much attention to Aislinn. Despite all her efforts, she can not shake his attention.
With life going downhill in some ways, life also takes some turns for the good (abate a little too late) as she finally can confront her feelings for her best friend Seth.
And what will happen if her grandmother finds out she has attracted fay attention? Home detention is what... If only she can she get in control of her life again.
A recommendation for the Twilight fans out there. Alas, no vamps for you in here though.
This is an older teen (aka 15+) book for sure content wise.
While it may be a little harder fit for or topic, there are moments of strength and learning about yourself in here; especially acceptance of things that can not be changed that happen to you.
Series is not direct sequels, but as a whole does create an entire picture. All characters are tied in and essential for the final plot.
